TEAM STANDARDS
-
We will always work to give a perfect effort.
-
We understand that our focus, effort, and mental toughness have a direct impact on our team’s performance.
-
We will strive to improve individually and as a team each and every drill, every pitch, every swing, every play, every practice, every game, and every day.
-
We will understand our various roles being asked of us, and perform these roles to the best of our ability.
-
We will hold each other accountable to give our best effort and attention at all meetings, practices, and games.
-
We will always put the team first. We win or lose as a team. We will not let our teammates or coaches down. We will enjoy the time we have together.
-
We will not measure our success by the scoreboard or individual accomplishments, but by our goals to develop as players and a team throughout the season.
-
We will respect ourselves, teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, family, and the game with our best effort, attitude, and behavior. We will earn respect by being respectful.
-
We will be at all team functions and events prepared with the appropriate equipment, uniform, practice attire, etc.
-
If for any reason we have to be late or absent from a team function, we will let the head coach know.
-
We will put in the necessary work at home and on the field.
-
We will make decisions that are good for the team on and off the field.
-
We will cheer in a positive manner.
-
We will not “trashâtalk”; talk back to coaches or officials; and/or throw gloves, helmets, or bats. We will recover quickly from mistakes.
-
We will all help with set-up, tear-down, and transportation of equipment.
-
We understand that the dugout, concession area, stands, restrooms, and field are community spaces and we are all responsible to help keep these community spaces clean. Leaving trash in the dugout after a game will result in the team running wind sprints. If a player leaves the dugout before trash has been picked up, that player(s) will run wind sprints.
-
We understand that our friends, parents, and other family members are not allowed in the dugout during meetings, games, and/or practices. We will not create a distraction for ourselves and others on the team by talking to friends, parents, and other family members during meetings, games, and/or practices. We understand that violating this rule can and will lead to being removed from the defensive lineup, batting order, and/or both.
-
We will communicate with each other face to face. We never go behind a teammate’s back or post negative things about teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, or our organization through text messages or social media.
-
We will bring any concerns directly to the Head Coach. Any concerns and questions should be addressed at least 24 hours after the completion of a tournament.
-
We realize and appreciate that playing baseball is a privilege and blessing. We are representatives of our teammates, coaches, friends, family and community.
-
We understand that the head coach determines playing time. If there are any concerns about playing time, the PLAYER should bring these concerns to the coach.
-
We understand that there will be consequences if we do not abide by Team Standards, including dismissal from the program for severe and/or habitual violations.
-
No Drama!

No Excuses!
